June 27: Taste of Cedar Hills Baking Contest; Heritage Park Pavilion; 11:30 a.m. Free! Enter your favorite baked goods in categories to be judged on taste, texture, and appearance. June 27: “Read & Win” Reading ProgramCedar Hills invites all children between the ages of 6 and 12 as of September 1, 2009, to read ten (10) books and win a fun prize. Obtain a Reading Record Form here or at the City office and have a parent, guardian, or teacher verify your reading. Submit the form at the headquarters booth in Heritage Park between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to receive the prize. Happy reading!
June 27: “Run to Win” Walking or Running ProgramTo encourage and reward those who like to walk or run, we continue this event. Walk or run the amount of miles for your age, record how many miles you run each week, and take the Run to Win Form to the headquarters booth at Heritage Park between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to receive a prize.
June 27: Cake-Eating Contest at Heritage Park Pavilion, 2:00 p.m.Now you can have your cake and eat it too! In this event, wild and wacky participants of all ages will compete in age groups for prizes, while scarfing down generous helpings of delicious Costco cake. Everyone is welcome, but all cake eaters must wear a Family Festival wrist band. See if you have what it takes to clean off your plate before anyone else!
June 27: FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR! The fireworks will be set off from the golf course this year and will begin after dark at approximately 10:00 p.m. Spectators can view the show up close at Mesquite Soccer Park at 10440 N Mesquite Way in Cedar Hills
