Have you tried Magic Jack yet?
I’ve been irritated wtih my $110.00 land-line bill every month, and every month I pay it because I’ve been too lazy to research the solutions. I was reading through “Good Housekeeping” this month and they gave the Magic Jack HUGE props–said it works beautifully. And they won “Product of the Year” in 2008 from PC Magazine. There’s a free 30 day trial right now, so we’ve been landline-free for a week now! I can’t tell you how SATISFYING it was to make the call to dump that land-line! (Editor’s note: I know this is mean-spirited, because it’s not the guy’s fault at Qwest who answers the phone, but when he gave me the spiel about keeping my line for a discount –offer it WHEN I’M A LOYAL CUSTOMER, PAL!–I had such a good time saying “no, I’m going with the Magic Jack.” He gave up immediately.) I love my MagicJack! Except for living in Southeast Washington and having a number from Portland. At least we aren’t chewing up Cell Phone minutes!!!
