Man, does that suck.
I visited a pediatric cardiology unit today at Primary Children’s Hospital. (No place better in the United States, by the way.) I compared “zippers” with some of the kids. (Editor’s note: the scar you get from surgery) There are 3 month olds with bigger scars than mine. Every parent in that unit would have traded places with their kids. I am SO GLAD it was me and not the twins. I love you all, Lexie, Samantha, Jorge and Heber! I love you so…

I spent the year when I was 3 yrs old there, (severe burn and therapy, aspirin overdose and tonsillitis) Got to be family with the people there, although I remember very little. Mom tells me how good they were there. That was a million years ago. Last year my baby (18-wow) spent a few days there when she had severe pneumonia. She actually cried when she had to leave they were so good to her, but she also felt guilty for being there cuz she saw all the severe cases of children being so small going through so much more than her.
I love that place.
You get it, girlfriend.
Next time I wanna go with you…
Really? I’d love it if you come. I go every 6 months or so and take goodies and a couple of Jazz players with me. You should see a 6″8 guy crying his eyes out in the hallway.
just let me know…!!!
I love Primary Childrens Hospital. When I was 5 yrs old (oh soooooo many years ago) I got a life threatening case of pneumonia. Yep I almost died. I was cared for at PCH. The Best Care Anywhere!!! So whenever there is a fund raiser to support them I truely give from the heart. There is just know way to express how greatful I am to them!!
How scary for a five year old! You must have been a very brave little beast, even then…
