Southwest Airfare Sale, get moving!
I was pricing airfare to go to New England and almost gagged on some of the Thanksgiving price hikes. This may make the difference on whether you can travel for the holiday season. It’s the Southwest Airlines airfare sale!

Got an exciting email from the Old Navy folks yesterday. Old Navy is getting rid of all their remaining costumes Friday and Saturday (Oct. 30-31) for $2.00 each! That’s not a typo–2 bucks! Some of these costumes were orginially marked at $50.00! I’m certain selection won’t be vast, but there’s plenty of options at the two stores by us, I’m thinking about buying one size bigger for next year, and there’s always dressup!
Here’s a recession-proof job…
…I have a girlfriend who just finished nursing school and got job offers from three different states before she finished her final year! I like the fact that at the age of 42, she was still considered financially “viable” and highly sought after. There seems to be a lot more “ageism” during a recession, at a younger and younger age.
