Veteran’s Day “thanks you’s”

soldierThese men and women deserve anything and everything we can give them.  The Todd and I were flying back from New England today, and I watched an older gentleman get up from his First Class seat on our plane and insist that a lady in uniform take his seat.  Even if you can’t afford to be that fabulous, maybe suggest some of these goodies to someone you know…

Applebee’s: Veterans and active duty military can receive a free entrée when they show proof of military service.

Krispy Kreme: Veterans and active military personnel get a free donut of their choice.

Outback Steakhouse: All veterans and active duty military will receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage. Just show proof of military service.

Famous Dave’s is offering a FREE meal (from a select menu) to all active duty and veterans on 11/11. Make sure to bring in some form of military identification. This is dine-in only (and does not include alcohol)

Hyvee – Hyvee stores (found in the midwest) will provide a FREE breakfast for veterans from 7am – 11am in participating stores with in-store dining. See details & locations HERE

Sam’s ClubFREE Hugo canes to military veterans who need mobility assistance. They will be giving out 25,000 canes and you do not need to be a member of Sam’s Club. May need to show military identification. Go HERE for more details

National Parks & Forests & Wildlife Refuges – Free admission to all National Parks, National Forests, Wildlife Refuges, & more on Wed 11/11 to veterans. See HERE for details.

Golden CorralFree dinner from 5-9pm for anyone who has served in the military (veterans, retired, currently serving, or National Guard & Reservists). No identification needed. Go HERE for more details.

Knott’s Berry FarmFree admission to all active duty and veterans plus one guest free from Nov 1-24th. Go HERE for details.

Colonial Williamsburg - Free admission to active duty, retirees, reservists, and veterans & dependents from Nov 6th – 11th. Go HERE for more details!

Awesome. Thanks for sharing! My husband got out of the Navy last year after 10 years. I’d love to see him get hooked up with some free stuff.
