Holiday Photo Portrait Roundup…

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 13, 2009 in Coupons

Don-Speice-Niagara-Daredevils1-767x1024There’s that one shining moment when you’ve bribed all the children to stay clean, you found a sweater that makes you look 10 pounds thinner and your husband isn’t whining “I could just do this at home for free!”  Yes, the magical moment when you look like a Completely Adorable Family.  Now, do it for less!

–Bring this coupon in to the Picture People to get a free-bee  8×10 or 11×13 portrait, and then 25% off your total purchase. Portrait sessions are always free.  There’s also a deal on their web site to get two free 8x10s when you bring in a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Thanks, Centsible Savings!

–At the JC Penney Portrait Studio, they’re also offering a 40% discount on a portrait purchase of $80.  (Do keep in mind that they do charge a sitting fee, it’s usually about $9.99). You’ll find a coupon here too for a free-bee 8×10 portrait.

Thanks, Coupon Cravings!

-Head to Target Portrait Studio to get afree-bee 8×10 portrait!  Sneaky inside tip: no sitting fees at Target! You can save 40% on your portrait purchase of $80.00 or more with this printable coupon.

-The JC Penney Portrait Studio is also offering a 40% discount on a portrait purchase of $80.00 or more,  though there is a sitting fee of $9.99. You’ll find a coupon here too for a free-bee 8×10 portrait. All traditional portrait sheets are just $3.99.

–There’s a  coupon here to use at Sears Portrait Studio for a free-bee Classic Montage–a $30.00 value–plus 20% off your entire purchase. If you’re ready to go all out, there’s also a coupon here for a Holiday Portrait Package, including 1-8×10, 2-5x7s, 16 wallets and 16 minis, for only $7.99

(Editor’s note: okay, I suspect this is wildly inappropriate when you’re trying to get tidied up for a family photo, but you have to visit www.awkwardfamilyphotos.com.  I’ve laughed so hard on this site that I think I strained something internally.)

Free-Bee EBook for Thanksgving Crafts!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 13, 2009 in Free-Bees Giveaways, Free-or Cheap-Family Fun

The Todd has long been infuriated by my insistence of keeping up the Halloween decorations until it’s time for Christmas.  Frankly, Thanksgiving isn’t a sexy holiday–there’s nothing cool to decorate, nothing to dress up in.  Until I came by this book today…free-bee EBook with all kinds of T-day crafts and activities.  I love this series because it’s not completely female-centered, there’s stuff that little boys like, too!  Z&M are going to make the “I’m thankful” leaf pins to show the Third grade, they’re hoping everyone will join in and decorate the room!

Free-Bee craft at Lakeshore Learning tomorrow!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 13, 2009 in Activist Mom, Free-Bees Giveaways, Free-or Cheap-Family Fun

craft111409I love Lakeshore Learning for many reasons–but one of the best is the free-bee craft activity every Saturday where your children get to cover someone else in glitter and glue for a change.  (Editor’s note: don’t look at me like that–I have a Flair button on my Facebook page that says “Glitter is the Herpes of Craft Supplies”)  This weekend is a cute leafy buddy.  Be sure to browse online too for a whole pile of great craft ideas and resources.

Sneaky inside tip for the Autism moms: some of my most beloved girlies are the resourceful and dedicated Autism moms–the ones spending every second of time and every penny to help their children on the Spectrum.  There’s a zillion sites on the ‘net that offer “specialized” learning toys for children with Autism.  Nearly every one of them is at Lakeshore Learning for about half the price.  It kills me to see these moms taken advantage of financially.  Make your list, then go compare at Lakeshore before you buy.

Here’s a new way to make some Holiday money…

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 13, 2009 in Unfiled Stuff

…because one of the biggest requests I get here on That Went Well is for reputable sources for making money at home.  Believe me, I’ve tried them all out first, so I know who’s just grabbing for your credit card number and who’ll actually come through with a check at the end of the month.
Surveys4Income is one of the best–there’s an achievable signup bonus, simple directions and lots of options to make extra money.  I will never say that these systems will make you rich, but the good ones offer sustainable ways to keep adding to your income every day.  Let me know what you think if you give it a try!

Start stocking up for teacher gifts…

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 13, 2009 in Free shipping

teacherI usually give gift cards for books and office supplies because our educators run through their budget and then use their own funds to get what they need for the class.  But you want to add something special, too, right?

The Personalization Mall has some great discounts right now–Use the code FJE27 for 20% off your entire purchase thru 11.15.09
UPROMSHIPS gets you free shipping on orders of $50+ thru 11.22.09

Check keyword “teachers” for some great ideas.  I loved this sweet flowerpot.  It says, “Ms. Phillip’s class: where children bloom.”  How cute is that?

Thanks for the heads-up, Moms By Heart!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 13, 2009 in Coupons for Mommy, Resources

pastry-kitThe Todd is Head Chef and Dietician in our house, but when it comes to baking, I might modestly say that I am the Dark Mistress of Flour!  I’m completely psyched with this new offer from Reynolds–they’re offering a pile of goodies to make your baked goods look as pretty as the Chi-Chi bakery downtown.

Buy all 3 of these products in the same transaction and you will get a FREE 20 piece pastry box kit by mail–
-Reynolds Parchment Paper
-Reynolds Baking Cups
-Reynolds Wrap Aluminum
You’ll receive:
-2 jumbo heart boxes
-4 jumbo cupcake boxes
-2 all-purpose boxes
-8 pink-ribbon printed labels
-4 recipes
Go HERE to see all the details and print off the form and mail it in for your rebate.  Mind you, get it sent by 12.31.09 to get your rebate.
Thanks, Thrifty Northwest Mom!
