Got a Fuddrucker’s nearby?

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Dec 31, 2009 in Coupons, Free-or Cheap-Family Fun

dining outThe Todd loves the family that runs our local Fuddrucker’s, but he hates making appearances there.  He’s dyslexic, and he’s constantly terrified that he’ll mix up the words…if you know what I mean.   However, take the pronunciation challenge, there’s a new meal deal called “The Family Fudd Deal”. This meal deal includes 2 – 1/3 lb hamburgers (with fries & drinks) plus 2 kids meals (with fries & drinks) all for $20.00!  The fine print says that tax is not included. Substitutions and add ons are extra. Must order at least 4 meals including 4 sides and drinks. Participating locations may vary. So make sure you call ahead to verify yours is participating!  Find your closest location here.

Last Chance to Join The Nielsen Panel!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Dec 29, 2009 in Working From Home

cashYou’ve heard me talk about them before–the Nielsen Panel is the blue chip stock of making money at home.  I’ve been told that they’re ending applications for new members on the 31st–that gives you only 3 days to apply.  I don’t know when they’ll have availability again.  They’re picky–they need certain zip codes, and despite applying three dang times, I still haven’t been accepted.  Great incentives, quick money, totally worth your time to apply! Good luck!  Apply here.

Free-Bee Books!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Dec 27, 2009 in Free-Bees Giveaways

How cool is this?

Random House and The Crown Publishing Group are offering a free book through their program “Read It Forward.“  Choose one book from three available.  This offer is available while supplies last.  Here are the books available and the excerpt:

breaking bedlam

Breaking Out of Bedlam
Cora Sledge is horrified when her children, who doubt her ability to take care of herself, plot to remove her from her home. So what if her house is a shambles? Who cares when she last changed her clothes? If an eighty-two-year-old widow wants to live on junk food, pills, and cigarettes, hasn’t she earned the right? When her kids force her into The Palisades, an assisted living facility, Cora takes to her bed, planning to die as soon as possible. But life isn’t finished with her yet, not by a long shot.

primma donna

Prima Donna
Opera singer Sabine Conrad is the toast of nineteenth-century New York high society. A celebrated soprano with the voice of an angel, she is showered with adulation by her audiences and courted by wealthy patrons. But behind the scenes, her every move is controlled by a Svengali-like manager, Gideon Price. When her attempt to escape him goes tragically awry, she flees, leaving behind a grisly murder.

true confections

True Confections
Take chocolate candy, add a family business at war with itself, and stir with an outsider’s perspective. This is the recipe for True Confections, the irresistible new novel by Katharine Weber, a writer whose work has won accolades from Iris Murdoch, Madeleine LâEngle, Wally Lamb, and Kate Atkinson, to name a few.

A free-bee photo book every month!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Dec 26, 2009 in Free-Bees Giveaways

scrapbookI’ve turned to photo books with a certain level of desperation because the beautiful scrapbooks my sister Jenne created for my twins were carefuly kept up with locks of hair, baby announcements etc. until 18 months old, when I had to go back into the studio to do our radio show.  Photo books are my salvation–I can create a new one each year with all the best pictures, their artwork, etc.  Here’s an offer for a free-bee photo book every month!  Here’s how it works: Hot Prints creates your books and send them to you free: even shipping and handling are covered.  There will be a removable page insert of advertisements that you can pull out of the book.  Go here for more details and to set up your first free book!

retro kissMy girlie Barb said it best: “I used to be Queen of Quite A Lot.  Now, I want to be Queen of Just Enough.”  We hope you all are Queens of Just Enough today.  Merry Christmas to everyone with love and gratitude for a wonderful year!
