Free-Bees For Military Families For July Fourth

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Jul 3, 2010 in Free-Bees Giveaways, Free-or Cheap-Family Fun

milI worked in radio in Norfolk-Virginia Beach during the 1990′s…it’s a huge, multi-base military town and it was my honor to meet and get to know dozens of military families.  Their sacrifices truly hit you when you watch children stand in the sun for hours at battleship and aircraft carrier homecomings to see their daddy or mommy for the first time in months, sometimes years.  There will never, ever be enough we can do for these incredible people.

To remind you:

miliThe Blue Star Museum Initiative offers free admission to military families for over 800 museums nationwide.  For a list of museums near you, click here.

zone-studioThe Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum in Salt Lake City has free admission 7.4 for military families–just bring your ID with you.  Go here for times and info.  The Museum is open noon to 6pm on Sundays.
