Free “Disney On Ice” Tickets!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Sep 27, 2010 in Free-or Cheap-Family Fun

Just a reminder: The first 600 people who donate 10 cans of food to the Utah Food Bank on Monday, Sept. 27 can get a free ticket to an upcoming Disney on Ice show in Salt Lake City in November. Details of the giveaway, which begins at 11 a.m. at the food bank’s office, are here. Note: Disney on Ice makes this offer each time the show comes to town, and it’s extremely popular. Lines often form hours before the tickets are given away. One ticket person; you can’t bring extra cans and pick up tickets for other people.

Thanks, One Cheap Chick!

When’s The Last Time You Tasted A Popover?

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Sep 27, 2010 in The Todd's Tastes, The Todd's View on Things

Popovers Todd here. I have not seen a Popover or a recipe for them in 20 years.  I ran across this recipe a couple of days ago–it’s time!  C’mon, there’s only 4 ingredients, how easy is that?

2 Eggs

1 Cup Flour

1 Cup Milk

1 tsp Salt

Mix ingredients together, do not overbeat!  Preheat oven to 450.  Grease and flour six 6 oz. ramikins or custard cups.  Fill with batter about halfway.  Bake at 450 for 20 minutes, then reduce heat to 350, bake 20 minutes more.  Serve at once.  They’re just as good as you remember!

Enjoy, Todd
