Salt Lake County Library Services is offering free paper shredding–up to five boxes per person!–tomorrow (Saturday, April 21) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. you also can bring your computer hard drive to the event to be destroyed. The Big Shred is held at the Whitmore Library at 2197 E. Fort Union Blvd., more details are HERE.

Free–Or Cheap–Weekend Family Fun

If you’ve been holding off on taking your kids to The Leonardo in downtown Salt Lake City, I understand. It’s a fascinating museum that encompasses art, medicene, science, nature, technology and society. It’s astonishingly beautiful and, admittedly–a little spendy. Admission to The Leonardo is $7.00 this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 13-15. Go HERE for more information about the science, technology and art museum and the discounted admission this weekend. The museum also has half-price admission on Wednesdays, too.

The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point starts today (4.13) it’s amazing–especially on Fridays and Saturday, when there’s a festival, music and food involved. Go here for a $2.00 off coupon.

The Friends of The City Library Used Book Sale starts today (Friday, 4.13) through Tuesday, April 17th. You’ll find fiction and nonfiction books as well as DVDs. Prices start at $2.00 for hardback books and $1.00 for paperbacks; prices are cut by 50 percent on Saturday and Sunday. Anything that’s left will be discounted even further on Monday and Tuesday.
