More $5.00 magazine subscriptions from Amazon.com!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Dec 7, 2009 in Unfiled Stuff

goodI love giving (and getting, I read like, 50 magazines a month for show prep) magazine subscriptions!  It’s nice to think someone took the time to decide what interests you and got you a subscription to something you enjoy.  I make up a nice little card telling them a year’s worth of magazines are on their way, rolled up in the current issue.  $5.00 bucks a pop certainly makes it easier to give more!

This is good through Saturday (12/12), here’s a few more one-year magazine subscriptions you can pick up:

Cosmopolitan

Country Living

Good Housekeeping

House BeautifulMarie Claire

Popular MechanicsSmartMoney

Veranda

Amazon.com’s dvd deals today…

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 25, 2009 in Free shipping

hp…The Todd calls this “Mauve Wednesday” deals…retailers just don’t want to wait until Black Friday this year.  Frankly, if you’re getting dvd’s or bluray anywhere but Amazon, you’re losing money.  I pre-ordered “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and a Wiggles dvd yesterday.  I used my trial Amazon Prime, so the Wiggles dvd arrives today, shipped free.  They also knocked $5.00 off the price…so that cost me $2.99.   Pre-ordering Harry Potter knocked  the price from $25.99 down to $9.99!  Yow!

Here’s today’s specials:

:00am – 8:00am PST {Click on View Lightning Deal}

8:00am – 12:00pm PST {Click on View Lightning Deal}

Do your holiday shopping in your jammies…

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 23, 2009 in Free shipping, Resources

jammiesSister, I’m here for you when it comes to Black Friday.  I will have a complete list by time of all the screaming deals at each store.  But after my assigned radio appearances are done that morning, I will run home and hide. I’m a firm believer in shopping in my jammies at my computer, the way God intended!

If you’re like me, and if you haven’t signed up for Amazon Prime, do it now! You’ll get FREE 2 day shipping on all eligible orders.  Amazon.com is offering a FREE one month trial and you can set up your account to auto-cancel the free trial after the trial period is over!  Sneaky inside tip:  to set this up, just sign up for the one month trial, click on the “Your Account” tab, then click on “Manage Prime Membership” and finally click on “More Order Actions”. After getting to this step, you should see a spot to select that says to not upgrade the Prime Membership automatically and your free trial will be set to end after the period is over.

I have to keep a list right by the computer to remind myself about cancellations–it’ll be nice not to have to worry about this one!

Thanks, It’s Hip2Save!

More magazines on the cheap!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Nov 3, 2009 in Unfiled Stuff

hbDeal Seeking Mom has reminded me that there’s actually a pile of great magazines on sale this month on Amazon.com.  A year’s subscription to someone’s favorite magazine is a great stocking stuffer, maybe for a coworker or a hostess gift?  I roll up the current issue with a ribbon and a card stating that a year’s subscription is on the way.  Here’s some more options…

Sneaky inside tip: Since first delivery is 6-8 weeks away, I’d suggest ordering these now so that your recipient gets the January issue promptly.

Amazon.com has a killer sale on baby bedding!

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Sep 15, 2009 in Coupons
Amazon.com has a big sale right now on 10 piece crib bedding sets–I jumped on this because of the 306 baby showers I go to every month (Editor’s note: I live in Utah, where our motto is: “we’ll kick your butt in birth rates!”)   They have 10 piece Soho nursery crib sets reduced at 63-78% off for a limited time! Click HERE to check out all of the bedding sets that are on sale right now! The prices range from $27.33 – $55.99 (regular prices $149-$209).

Included in the 10 piece crib bedding sets: Comforter, Dust Ruffle, Fitted Crib Sheet, Bumper, Baby Bib, Toy Bag, 2 Valances, Diaper Stacker and Baby Pillow.  I was completely appalled to find out all the gear the twins “needed” when we started out…but I’ve used it all, trust me!baby boy
