Next Saturday (7.10.10) at Lowe’s Build and Grow Workshop, the kiddos are creating this old-school “Ball and Cup” game. You’ll want to sign up for that workshop now, since they fill up quickly. Lowe’s clinics start at 10am.

Plan-Ahead Free-Bees for this weekend
Lowe’s holds a free Build and Grow clinic for kids twice a month, where they can build something to take home and it’s all free! This Saturday, your little people are making a Gingerbread House. Plan for December 5 from 10am – 11am, you need to book ahead, click here for more info.
Home Depot Kid’s Workshops are FREE workshops available the first Saturday of each month from 9-noon for kids age 5-12 (although some allow younger kids.) This month they’ll make a wagon. For no cost, your little one gets the kit, a kid-sized orange apron, and an achievement pin. More info here.

One of the nicest elements of this offer is that LED lights use up to 80% less energy than regular ones. I must confess to being partial to the old-school lights, but this kind of savings makes sense both financially and envoirnmentally! Look at how good you will be for Mother Nature!

Free Fire Safety Courses
Get a crash course in home fire safety in a one-hour workshop offered by Home Depot on Sunday, October 18 or October 25 from 2-3 pm. It’s a free course, but you do need to register in advance here. Just ask anyone who’s had a house fire–THEY’VE already signed up!
