Still Working On, Say…Your 2005 Taxes?

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Feb 24, 2010 in Free-Bees Giveaways, Resources

Even though the economy’s tanked, taxes seem to keep going up.  If you’re dealing with one of the above, there’s a service called 411 Tax Relief that might be able to help you.  And, it could be for free!  No signup costs, so click here and take a look around.  They’re much nicer to deal with than the IRS!

Tax Prep Resources

Posted by Erin (and sometimes The Todd) on Feb 1, 2010 in Resources

Interested in filing your tax return for free, right from the Irs.gov web site? Go here to read about the federal government’s Free File program and who is eligible to use it to prepare and/or electronically submit tax returns at no cost.

accountantTurboTax is offering a free online version of its 2009 federal tax filing software! It’s a very simple, “walk-you-through” approach. PLUS, you can file your taxes for free using their e-filing service! Optional state filing software runs $27.95.

If you have more complex tax needs,  Intuit has cut the prices of the more robust TurboTax software too. Home & Office – is just $48.70. The same program was closer to $80.00 last year. Go here to see what’s available.

Thanks, The Coupon Project!

If you prefer H&R Block, – you can print off a coupon for $20 off at H&R Block retail locations.  It’s good thru April 15th!  It is not valid on 1040EZ forms.

Thanks, Thrifty Northwest Mom and One Cheap Chick!
